I believe, technically, I was surfing. I found this new blog, which in turn pointed me to this excellent spiritual feast for women who love priests and are looking for prayers, activities, ideas and outlets for this affection. Now I thought I loved priests, but have I ever even dreamed of such as this?
Not even close. The industrious blogger (who obviously translates her love into tangible gifts!) notes:
Last night I had made the silhouette of The Cure as he was on the last leg of his journey to Ars for the first time. He ran into a local boy and he asked for the way...the famous and beautiful quote goes like this:
"Show me the way to Ars and I'll show you the way to Heaven."That quote makes me teary, it's touching and profound, this was a priest that would be giving his whole being to saving souls, nothing would be held back.
Alright, my love is more slipshod and [ahem] intangible but now I have some inspiration. Print out some of the prayers she offers and get to work. From the Gospel of Saint Luke (12:49):
I have come to bring a fire to the earth; would that it were already ablaze!

Hi Genevieve - Greetings from Lebanon PA! - I saw your blog and the article about Spiritual motherhood for priests - do you know where I can get a copy of the book?
Hope you and yours are well - we had a hectic year (husband - cancer - daughter having our first grandchild in December!) God is good....Blessings, Patty

Good to hear from you, Patty (and what a year!) I don't know of a book -- just the apostolate and set of prayers. I try to focus on them especially on Thursdays.

If your wanting a copy of the Booklet you can download the PDF here: http://www.catholicpriest.com/docs/adoration_for_priests.pdf
Or you can call your diocesan Vocations Office and ask Director of Vocations if they are circulating the booklet. 'Adoration Reparation and Spiritualmotherhood for Priests'. If they aren't, you could make them aware of it, they can get any info from the Congregation for the Clergy in Rome.
My partner Aussieanne is very gifted and did a beautiful job on this feast day celebrations for The Cure of Ars.
HTH
God Bless
