Of course, most know that "choice" is a lie, and especially with feminists the concept means that outcomes are more important than individuals. Thus, this was to be expected from socialist Norway, where there are "not enough women" on the boards of 140 privately-run companies.
Equality minister Karita Bekkemellem told newspaper Aftenposten on Friday that those companies failing to meet the quota will face involuntary dissolution from January 1. Many are within traditionally male-oriented branches like the offshore oil industry, shipping and
finance.
"My advice to them is that they take responsibility and find the women they need," she said. She called the law "historic and radical," and said it will be enforced.
Find the women. That would be enough pink chairs to accomodate 40% of those stock-listed boards (and some have none at present!) Sends chills -- and not because of winter descending on the North Sea.
I think you have one of the most informative blogs I've read. Your book is great too.
Yes, that is pretty scary. If I owned one of those companies (as a way to get around this dumb law) I would ask the wives of existing board members to join.

Ironic that you post this immediately above the post about Ayn Rand. This "equality ministry" is like something straight out of Atlas Shrugged.
